Have you ever read The Magic Faraway Tree? Or seen The Dark Crystal? Or pondered what a desert Candy Mountain might be? Well I have...it's a bit like slipping down the rabbit hole and opening another door...it doesn't take you to wonderland but maybe you get to the next suburb over.

I felt a bit like Alice wandering through the Californian Redwood forest, towering giants for trees, it was etherial, deathly silent, beautiful, and magic all at once. If fairies and wood nymphs exist then this is capital city and the distant desert mountains are where their furry friends reside.

Before you say 'lay off the crack'... I dare you to explore these powerful places and tell me your imagination doesn't run away from you. Now...in this surrealist state these childish drawings came to life.

delta spirit x coachella lovin'.

Coachella! Only one of the world's greatest music festivals!!!...and yes, this year we were there. One of our fav bands was Delta Spirit! It's been a long time since I've seen all powers combine: look, sound, talent and MESSAGE! So awesome and truly inspiring...here are some of the pics we took of them... (by we I mean my boy and I). P.S- Yey for digital cameras and 'pin-hole' settings...at least we can pretend to be photographers.

From the ruins of Tikal through the highlands of Antigua and over to the mountains of Banff (in that order). I felt each place had a word, a window into it's story...maybe?...maybe not. Either way this is my interpretation: Karma and Krama, Pray and Prey, Know Now.

This was too crazy. Here's Ken in his official Panamanian getup, found him in a quirky souvenir shop in Panama city and thought he was gold! Needless to say Barbie was nowhere to be seen.

100% pure love.

No photoshop involved, 100% natural beauty. Never before had I seen a sky quite like this. We were on a small deserted beach in Nicaragua (Las Penitas). Lorenzo went out for his afternoon surf, when all was said and done he stood on the shore looking upwards and I grabbed the camera...here's what I saw.

There's something magic about the chic, sad, beautiful soul of Pierrot the clown. The sad tale always appealed to my melancholy self...

"Born in an age when women had little to offer. She wants to work, entertain, make people laugh and bring joy to the world. One of the most inspirational roads in the world! From Jasper to Banff on the ice-fields parkway (it's in Canada). Listening to Sigur Ros...you definitely feel otherworldly, BLISS!

I call the flower face 'Goldie'. I got to see the inspiring Balenciaga and Spain exhibition in San Fran earlier this year. If my yank-tank hippie van and Balenciaga had a lovechild it would be Goldie!

This was a submission for the footlocker competition, the world's most expensive colouring competition; pick a shoe template and colour it in. A homage to the fluro, street sneaks I grew up with...and a voice for our furry friends.

lorenzo y catalina : the sun and the moon.

Where it begins.

Moments before the blanket of the night lifts, there is a meeting of great force, a great LOVE.
Lorenzo, in love with la luna says;

“Oh Catalina my porcelain moon, stay a little longer with me, before the dawn and the day separate us. You are the night and I am the day but for you my day, my life, I’d give.”

This is my favourite Spanish fable from which I draw much inspiration.

For years I’ve been making art in music and fashion circles, my passions explored mostly at night.

This year however, I found my Lorenzo – a drummer, surfer and sun seeker. He proposed between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, NYC at that perfect time when the light met the dark.

He’s the yang to my yin.

After an amazing year of learning new countries and loving music festivals, galleries and a van named Ruby Tuesday, we are now trying on Barcelona.

The following pages are a collection of my work, finally I feel it’s time they see the light…together.
