The date is November 27th...It's been a long time between paintbrushes and I couldn't wait to put this one up!
New mediums and new energies change everything. Based on an earlier sketch, Sara hold on... it's same, same but different!
Currently riding a post halloween / day of the dead state of mind. Can you tell?? Poor little triceratops is gone...in her place a free spirited gypsy from the underworld.

sara hold on.
A sneaky peak at my latest project, this is the pencil sketch on plywood. Still waiting for the paint...
Watch The Land Before Time. Listen to If we hold on together. Little SARA always tugs at my heartstrings.
P.S - Triceratops are amazing creatures.

Dreams are for weaving
Wonders are waiting to start
Live your story
Faith hope and glory
Hold to the truth

lorenzo y catalina : the sun and the moon.
Where it begins.
Moments before the blanket of the night lifts, there is a meeting of great force, a great LOVE.
Lorenzo, in love with la luna says;
Lorenzo, in love with la luna says;
“Oh Catalina my porcelain moon, stay a little longer with me, before the dawn and the day separate us. You are the night and I am the day but for you my day, my life, I’d give.”
This is my favourite Spanish fable from which I draw much inspiration.
For years I’ve been making art in music and fashion circles, my passions explored mostly at night.
This year however, I found my Lorenzo – a drummer, surfer and sun seeker. He proposed between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, NYC at that perfect time when the light met the dark.
He’s the yang to my yin.
After an amazing year of learning new countries and loving music festivals, galleries and a van named Ruby Tuesday, we are now trying on Barcelona.
The following pages are a collection of my work, finally I feel it’s time they see the light…together.
Thankyou Lorenzo.

amelitt le spoon.
This piece is a collaboration with my beautiful, talented sister Vanessa. She is my MUSE in many ways! The idea was to let the illustration inspire the words. Here's her wonderfully warped story and my whimsical illustration, a tale for those lost to imagination.
Amelitt le Spoon | Words by Vanessa Cairelli
Small Amelitt was not quite as sweet as most of the things she could wear
She dreamed of a megaphone to use as a telephone that she could tie in her hair
Now, with no teeth or legs on feet you'll wonder 'how is she in tune?'
But little does it matter if she sings all the flatter because you see she's a spoon!
She closes her eyes and dreams not of pies but of running up mountains and things
Of swimming with gumboots who play notes on rum flutes and steal feathers from Nightingales wings
Now don't get her wrong she'll sing you the silverware song and smile without missing a beat
But show her the door instead of crockery drawer and in a moment she's out in the street
On one purple morn she was thinking of lawn as the toads played maracas outside
When suddenly from no where there came sounds of despair as a Dish looked right at her and cried
'I've had it!' he said and hung low his head whilst tying together two stones
'I'm sick of being cleaned and bubbled and preened!' and threatened to break all his bones
'What bones then have you?' for Amelitt knew that porcelain was different to marrow
'Those of a hawk, of a toadstool and chalk! The kind that break only with sorrow'
Now though not so sharp but brighter than yellow, Amelitts thoughts were anything but mellow
'Together we'll run' she said 'just for fun, we'll escape and roll till the moon eats the sky!'
'The moon?' said the Dish, 'Why your just a Spoon, how could you even think you could try?'
With this she stood high with more than a sigh and proceeded to stroll on her handle
But in all her prance and self worthy dance she missed seeing the melting bee candle!
The Dish quickly stood, for this was no good as she tripped and fell with a tinkle
She spun like a peacock and landed with shock inside of a bowl full of sprinkles.
Chocolate blacker than black spread all round her back and dripped all of the way down her spine.
She wriggled like fish then looked back at the Dish who laughed saying 'You've lost all your shine!'
'...You look like a pea with no skin or a flea who's been dancing with drunken dust mites!'
'Well you look like beans who's jackets lack jeans and have been pressed by a cod-fishes pipes!'
For a moment they stared, eyes single and paired into parts that neither one knew.
Then together they laughed until they were daft, until the sun had paid its days due.
The stars then all sneezed and twinkled with ease whilst waiting for the glow of the moon
But on down below when no one did know the Dish ran away with the Spoon.
